Journey to the Autism Center

Filling a need, fulfilling a vision

In 2016, we embarked on a journey to fulfill the vision of our founder and build the area’s first-ever comprehensive medical and developmental center — the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (C.A.D.D.).

Striving for this unprecedented goal has meant leveraging our strong partnerships, deep community connections, unmatched advocacy, and training experience, and the expertise gleaned from developing our own robust behavior therapy program.

In late 2021, SNN will open the C.A.D.D. on the campus of the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in the historic Watts/Willowbrook/Compton neighborhood and its surrounding communities — a region that faces the deepest disparities in care due to socioeconomic and sociodemographic obstacles.

The C.A.D.D. will provide tens of thousands of young people and their families with compassionate, integrated diagnoses and intervention services, speech, occupational, physical, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapies.
