MISSION STATEMENT
SNN NextGen is a curated network of Gen Z and Millennial professionals committed to building community, strengthening civic and philanthropic leadership, and using our collective influence to support meaningful social impact across Southern California.
For more than two decades, Special Needs Network has been one of California’s premier disability rights and social justice organizations, advancing equity and access for underserved communities throughout Southern California. SNN NextGen represents the next phase of that work, investing in a rising generation of professionals who want to be more engaged in their communities, more connected to one another, and more intentional about the impact they make.
Through this initiative, we are cultivating forward-thinking leaders who are not only aligned in values, but committed to transforming disability inclusion, equity, and opportunity through action and engagement.
PURPOSE
The SNN NextGen Collective exists to:
+ Deepen community engagement around disability inclusion, equity, and access
+ Develop a strong pipeline of future board members, advisory leaders, major donors, and national ambassadors
+ Expand Special Needs Network’s reach into new professional, civic, and social networks across Southern California
+ Normalize and cultivate a culture of philanthropy and service among younger generations
+ Provide visible pathways for emerging professionals to grow as civic and philanthropic leaders
+ Strengthen long-term sustainability through leadership development, relationship-building, and donor cultivation
This community creates space for emerging leaders to connect, make their voices heard, and build relationships rooted in shared values and shared purpose. By providing leadership pipelines, curated programs, and opportunities for meaningful visibility and engagement, SNN NextGen Leaders supports members in growing both their influence and their impact.
At its core, SNN NextGen is about building lasting community, increasing visibility for the next generation of leaders, and helping shape the future of one of Southern California’s most established and influential social justice organizations.
