Youth Employment Leadership + Empowerment Program (YELEP)

This program includes two components: a young professionals service project and a summer jobs/internship program.  Through YELEP, high school and college students learn key leadership, fundraising and advocacy skills designed to help them become civically engaged and actively involved in their communities. The summer jobs program is a highly structured program that provides training in financial literacy, college and job readiness and an introduction to various careers in behavioral health. One of the program’s goals is to create indigenous leaders who will ultimately serve California’s disability rights, autism, and advocacy communities. Upon completion, participants have opportunities for employment as counselors and behavior aides at our CAMP JPAC and enter a pipeline for employment in our various ABA and other clinical and community-based programs.
